I started listening because 1 I love to dance and wanted to learn, and 2 I plan to major in spanish and my spanish II class sucks and this is my last year in highschool. Because I transferred I skipped a year of spanish last year so for the past two years I’ve been listening to latino music and I want to know, is it really helping me? Will it help me learn spanish, or at least get ahead of the curve for freshman yr of college?
I am Mexican so I already know some Spanish. But I have learned soooo much from Spanish music. Especially since I listen to it a lot. I don’t really know how much of it will help you since a lot of music does contain slang, but it should help you a lot with the pronunciation of words. You should try spanish t.v. shows or spanish films with English subtitles.
My feet are itching to dance and I’ll be there in a few weeks. Please help.
Mangos, and if u looove merengue there are some domincan clubs out toward Hialea. My bf told me about a club called "atarazada" (sp) thats supposed to be a real good latin club. And he said miami has a club mambo (orlando has one too). Just listen to the radio stations they will tell u where the hot spots are at thats what i always do they tell u what street its on and everything
