Here are some videos from the central region of the Dominican Republic:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6fi6tBN6jM
Why is this the real Domincian Republic? BEcause:
-Has been populated since the 1600′s, whereas the coasts have only been populated since the 19th and 20th centuries.
-Where most of Dominican culture such as Merengue and Bachata music originated
-Most Spanish-influenced area in a Spanish-speaking country
-Most people from the coasts are West Indians, which is why alot of black dominicans have anglo last names. Whereas Cibaenos are mostly descendants of White Europeans, Black DOMINICAN slaves and Tainos.
Why are people so stupid?

Yuh, too much time…I am confused. Were Dominican slaves not African? And is Hispanola not part of the West Indies? Are Dominicans not West Indians? Help me.
Did you think Shakira was original? well, an earlier version of Waka Waka has been around since the 80s. Just imagine yourself in any corner of Latin America, and you would have find that people were already moving their hips to the rhythm
of WAKA WAKA (version done by Merengue Band from Republica Dominicana “Las Chicas del Can”)
Here is the video with a presentation of this famous “female merengue band” in a TV show from Venezuela in 1982
A big success all around Latin America and beyond (many years ago…) …so, it’s time to remember
… Enjoy it !
